Tom Bergeron
Tom Bergeron began his broadcasting career in 1972 at WHAVin his hometown of Haverill, Massachusetts, where he was the youngest disc jockey in his home state as well as the editorial cartoonist for the Haverill Gazette. In 1981, he anchored New Hampshire Crossroads, a weekly magazine program for WENH public television. In 1980, he created the hit late night comedy talk show The Tom Bergeron Show for WHEB-FM and hosted it until 1983. The show tripled the audience in that time period. Tom joined WBZ-TV in 1982 (coincidentally, the same station at which Vin Di Bona began his career in 1968). Tom was the host for several of WBZ-TV's programs including 4 Today, the weekly Emmy award-winning teen magazine Super Kids, and the Emmy award-winning teen talk show Rap Around.
For six years prior to fronting Breakfast Time on FX from its inception in 1993, Tom was the anchor of WBZ-TV'S Emmy award-winning People Are Talking, Boston's top-rated daily talk show. He simultaneously hosted Boston's number one morning radio drive show on WBZ Radio before moving over to WMJX for eight months where in that short time, he took them from sixth to third place.
Tom recently brought his more than twenty years worth of broadcast experience serving as fill-in anchor at ABC's Good Morning America. He is currently hosting KingWorld's exciting revival of Hollywood Squares executive produced by Whoopi Goldberg. Recently, Tom was honored as Outstanding Game Show Host at the 27th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
