Meet The Marks
Fox, 2002
Series Premiere: July 17, 2002
Putting a new spin on two familiar televisions genres, Executive Producer Vin Di Bona invites American audiences to Meet the Marks on the Fox Television Network. Using actors skilled in improvisation and set in a real house rigged with cameras, Meet the Marks blends the sitcom format with reality television,
The "marks" in question are the unwitting participants who are invited to the home of the Marks family, usually on the pretense of being hired to provide a professional service. In one episode, a computer instructor, finding himself exposed to a bit of hanky-panky by Mr. Marks, is encouraged to participate in an escalating cover-up from Mrs. Marks. In another segment, a hairdresser, hired for a Marks family wedding, becomes the object of the bride's affections and the witness to the groom's infidelity.
Each episode asks, "how far will the 'mark'go?"
With this innovative hybrid, Executive Producer Vin Di Bona again breaks new ground in primetime entertainment.
